Asperger's Syndrome
Hello everyone!
As I mentioned in my previous blog, today I will tell you about Asperger's Syndrome. Asperger's Syndrome is a developmental disorder known as a milder form of autism. People affected by this disorder perceive the world in a different way, which does not mean worse or better - rather equally interesting and beautiful. Asperger's syndrome belongs to the so-called developmental disorders on the autism spectrum. It is a pervasive developmental disorder that begins in early childhood.
Parents often do not notice the symptoms of Asperger's syndrome in their children. They justify changes in their behavior by their difficult age, character or unusual interests. The physical development of children with Asperger is normal, symptoms are not immediately apparent, but only after the child starts talking, and sometimes even later. Interestingly, people with Asperger Syndrome learn faster than their peers. There is no cure for Asperger's Syndrome - it is not a disease but a disorder. The most important thing for a child with Asperger Syndrome is the right attitude of people from the closest environment as well as acceptance and understanding from the family. Such behavior gives the necessary comfort and a sense of security. Apart from the reluctance to be with their peers and play with them, patients diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome do not like changes in their environment. Such children feel best in well-known places. In such people you can also observe problems with speech (it is stiff, pedantic, they do not understand jokes and take everything literally. Patients with Asperger's syndrome usually have narrow, specific interests, they are interested in only one area, in which they are very often outstanding. It is worth mentioning that people famous all over the world suffer from the disorder I describe: for example Lionel Messi, Albert Einstein or Charles Darwin.
The above symptoms cause that children are rejected by the environment because they are not understood by them, and vice versa. Adults with Asperger's Syndrome, on the other hand, are seen as freaks.
That’s enough for today.
