After Thomas

Hello Everyone!

I just found out that I haven't told you about another important movie that I recently watched, which also deals with the topics I have touched on recently. It is a beautiful and very touching film called "After Thomas". The film is about a family in which a little son named Kyle has autism. The boy is a few years old, mainly his mother takes care of him, and his father is trying to earn money for their living. Mother is very committed to looking for suitable schools for Kyl or doing special exercises with him, she really wants him to be like other children. Sometimes the film shows very sad scenes when the mother completely loses her strength, when she screams out loud that he doesn't understand anything. I was also impressed by the scene when his mother says that he will never tell her that he loves her because he will never love her because he does not know what love is. I realized how people don't talk about such things as parents, apart from making a huge contribution to raising their children, they have to deal with issues such as what I said, that they don't even feel loved by their children.

However, the lives of Kyle and his parents change when they decide to buy a dog. The boy approaches him at first indifferently, but with time Thomas becomes his best friend. Thanks to him, the boy opens up to the world around him. Kyle begins to communicate better with others, begins to understand others' emotions, and begins to recognize his own emotions. The dog becomes a kind of communication channel between him and his parents, such as when Kyle refuses to go to sleep even though he is late his parents change their voice and pretend to be speaking on behalf of Thomas who is just telling the boy that he is tired and that he would like to go to sleep .

There is also an endearing moment when Kyle tells the dog that she loves him and then tells his parents that he loves them.

The film is based on facts, we learn from the end credits that thanks to the dog Kyle learned independence, graduated from university and started working.

Hello Everyone! Today I think that I will finally finish the topic related to various types of disorders. Today I will tell you about a fascinating book that I started reading, but I haven't finished it yet, I hope I will do it soon. The book is called "Born on a blue day: inside the extraordinary mind of an autistic savant: a memoir" was written by Daniel Tammet. It is a kind of diary that tells us about the hero's life. First I will explain who a savant is, savant syndrome is a special state of mind that makes people with low IQs have above-average mental abilities. All savants have an excellent memory that allows them to remember a lot of information. The very character of the author of the book is extremely interesting. Daniel Tammet knows 11 different languages, is the European record holder in reciting 22 514 digits of the number pi from memory, it took him over 5 hours to give all the digits. Me and Lina

Hello  Everyone !   Today, not to talk about my travels again, I will tell you about my work in Italy.   My grandma got me a job thanks to a friend who lives in Italy. I will not say that it was a dream job, at the beginning it was one big nightmare for me, but I will try to tell m ostly  about these positive things.   I worked as a " badante " or a care for an elderly person who also looks after the home.   I took care of 89-year-old Lina for over a month. It was quite a big responsibility for me, initially also a huge stress. I had to learn her schedule for the day when everything was happening at specific times, I had to remember to give her the right medicine at the right time.   Unfortunately, Lina was not very talkative, she was too weak to go out for walks, so we spent the whole day sitting at home.
